It's World Investor Week 2019!
The Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (JOIC) is delighted to be involved with the global campaign to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection.
World Investor Week (WIW) is promoted by the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the international body that brings together the world’s securities regulators and is supported by numerous jurisdictions around the world.
To celebrate WIW, we’re partnering with the Jersey Financial Services Commission for their ‘What good advice looks like’ drop-in clinic at St Helier Town Hall on Wednesday 2 October.
Working alongside the Jersey Fraud Prevention Forum, Channel Islands Financial Ombudsman and Christians Against Poverty teams, we’ll be offering advice and guidance about data protection and how Islanders can protect themselves against frauds and scams as well as informing Islanders about their individual rights and how best they can protect their personal information.
The JOIC team will be at the Assembly Room at the town hall between 11am and 3pm.
