Jersey Data Protection Authority signs Memorandum of Understanding with office of the Comptroller and Auditor General

Information Commissioner Paul Vane said: “We are delighted to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement with the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) which forges closer cooperation between our organisations”.

The purpose of the MoU is to provide a framework for the effective working relationship, cooperation and exchange of information between the C&AG and the JDPA, relating to each body’s respective responsibilities.

The MoU is intended to assist in promoting consultation on matters of mutual interest to improve the effectiveness of the C&AG and the JDPA in meeting their respective statutory duties and corporate objectives, including vision and values.

This announcement also serves as an opportunity to remind organisations about our invitation to tender for the external audit of the financial statements of the Jersey Data Protection Authority, which closes this Friday 13 September 2024. Organisations wishing to submit their interest are asked to contact the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner Finance department at finance@jerseyoic.org.
